Webmaster Colocation Account

For a Webmaster Colocation account, a Macintosh computer owned by the Customer is placed on our 100MB/second Internet connection and lease to you to use for as many accounts as you like. You have complete control over that Macintosh. We also provide UPS (uninterruptible power supply), 24-hour a day monitoring of your server, and access to our e-mail and domain name servers. You'll also receive FREE LogDoor software, providing real time statistics to your web server. You must supply the needed software for your server, which we can purchase on your behalf if you would like. We highly recommend:

We also now provide you with a free copy of LogDoor, our new software for real-time, multi-site log analysis.

Although we do perform periodic backups on your server, you are responsible for maintaining an up-to-date backup of all information you transfer over to that server.

A Webmaster Colocation account is $300 per month, and a one time $100 sign up fee, which covers the setup we do for you to get your machine running. The account includes pointing your domain name to your server. Additional virtual domain names are available for $20 per domain name per month ($10 per domain per month after you've reach a total of 5 virtual domains).

For current Open Door account holders upgrading to a colocation you'll receive a one month grace period on your current account, beyond that month (if you are still receiving a large amount of accesses or using a significant amount of storage on Open Door's server) you'll be charged $40 per month in addition to your colocation account.

To set up an Colocation account, we require a signed colocation agreement, plus the set up fee, which we can charge to your credit card. It usually take 1-2 weeks for us to set up the account. If you would like to proceed, please let us know, and sign and send (address listed below) or fax back (541) 488-1708 the following agreement:

WEBMASTER ACCOUNT COLOCATION AGREEMENT

Effective _______________, _________________ ("Customer") hereby contracts with Open Door Networks, Inc. to place a Macintosh computer owned by Customer on Open Door's Ethernet network for purposes of connecting that computer to the Internet. Customer further contracts with Open Door to have Open Door set up and operate that computer as a World Wide Web server

In return for these services, Customer agrees to the following conditions:

* Customer will pay $300 per month to Open Door Networks for the contracted services, charged monthly against the credit card supplied by Customer. Any first, partial month's payment shall be prorated. Customer will pay an additional $75 per hour for any time spent by Open Door in setting up or making changes to the above server.

* Customer will supply a Macintosh computer with Ethernet interface and uninterruptible power supply (if desired), which will reside on the premises of Open Door Networks for the duration of this agreement. No monitor or keyboard will be supplied with the computer. The computer will remain the property, and the responsibility, of Customer.

* Customer will supply any software needed under this contract. Specifically, Customer will supply a licensed copy of either MacHTTP or WebStar. Customer will also supply a licensed copy of Timbuktu Pro, to be installed on the server for use by Open Door Networks in administering the server.

* Customer agrees to allow Open Door Networks full access to the computer and all information stored thereon, for purposes of administration and monitoring.

* Open Door's Terms and Conditions, as accepted previously by Customer, continue in full effect under this agreement.

* This agreement shall have a duration of 6 months from the date enacted, and may be extended at any time upon agreement of both parties.

* Either party may terminate this agreement with 60 days notice to the other.

Additional information: - For AppleTalk access, a PhoneNet-compatible connector is also required - A VGA adaptor is useful to prevent Timbuktu from bringing up a small (9-inch screen). The adaptor fools Timbuktu into thinking there's a large monitor. - Don't forget the Ethernet transceiver (thin coax). - Up to a week may be required to set the server up. - Transitioning your site over may take a while, since people have probably bookmarked various pages. We will work with you to set up forwarding files.
