Images are displayed longer than they should be.
- Large images, or images from a slow site, can cause display times to be longer than expected.
Every time I run a show, it starts where it last left off. How do I get the show to start at the beginning?
- When you run the show, choose First from the Show menu to go to the first slide.
- When you run the show, choose Refresh from the Show menu to start the show again.
A show is playing too quickly, or too slowly, or...
- You can use the Settings dialog to override various built-in show settings.
Some of the shows get errors, or do not display the images I'd expect.
- Be sure you've got an active Internet connection before running Art Authority.
A show contains some amazing images, but there are no captions, so I'm not sure what I'm looking at.
- While an image is displayed, choose View Image in Web Site from the Show menu, which will display the Web page on which the image is found. The Web page often has captions or other explanatory text. For more information on the general topic, choose About This Topic from the Show menu.
- Check the Show Captions setting in the Settings dialog. If it is not on, switch it on.
When I run a show, it doesn't have a toolbar.
- From the Window menu, choose Show Toolbar.
Some images have captions, and others don't.
- Not all images are supplied with captions. Art Authority displays them when available.
Some images seem fuzzy, pixelated or low-resolution, especially when viewed full-screen.
- Full-screen is not recommended for Modern and Contemporary images, since these images remain under copyright and are usually only available in lower resolution, as are certain other images. We continue to look for better images all the time.
