You can have Art Authority for Macintosh store a show's images for use in your Macintosh's built-in screen saver. Before you use this option for the first time, you must do a little setup. It's done in two steps: choose a folder for Art Authority for Macintosh to store images in, and then configure the OS X Screen Saver to get images from that folder.
- Choose Preferences from the Art Authority for Macintosh menu, and with the "Screen Saver folder" popup menu, select Other... and then select a folder where the app will store images from shows it plays. Click Choose. You will be asked if you want to go to Desktop & Screen Saver System Preferences. Click Yes. The Desktop & Screen Saver System Preferences opens.
- In Desktop & Screen Saver System Preferences, click the Screen Saver tab, click the "+"and then "Add Folder of Pictures...". Navigate to and then select the same folder you just specified in the step above. Click Choose. If you see an error message saying that the folder contains no images, it just means that the app has not yet written any to the folder.
Within the folder that you specified above, a subfolder is created for each show. Images displayed in that show are copied to the appropriate subfolder. The OS X Screen Saver finds images in each subfolder. Once the app knows where to store images, and the Screen Saver knows to look in that folder for images, you can enable and disable the saving of images for use in the Screen Saver by choosing Save Images to Screen Saver from the File menu. Save to Screen Saver will automatically be on for every show you open, until you either disable Save to Screen Saver or quit the app.
