Envision Remote Control

My TV doesn't have a keyboard! With Envision Everywhere, cool Web images are moving off your Mac and onto other devices like your TV. But your TV uses a remote control rather than a keyboard. And so can Envision.

Envision fully supports any of the large number of remote controls that are available for your Macintosh. Most of these use standard infrared signals, and thus can even be programmed into a "universal remote" so that you don't have to worry about losing another remote control somewhere in your living room. Infrared remotes are also supported by most Video Senders.

The Keyspan Digital Remote. One of the most popular Macintosh remote controls is the Keyspan Digital Remote. Open Door has worked directly with Keyspan to ensure that their remote supports Envision out of the box. Just install the remote and go. No need to even tell the remote about Envision-specific commands.

Controlling through walls. A number of the more recent Macintosh remote controls use radio technology, similar to AirPort (802.11), to enable remote control even if you're in a different room from the Mac. So if your Mac's in a different room from your entertainment center, you can still control the Envision show from in front of your TV.
