DoorStop Personal Edition
User's Guide
Open Door Networks' DoorStop firewall enhances the security of
any Internet-connected Macintosh. DoorStop is software that runs
on the Mac it's protecting, placing the security as close as possible
to the services being secured and greatly simplifying administration.
DoorStop is essential for today's permanently connected ADSL or
cable-modem based Macs, for any Internet-connected Mac running
Mac OS 9, and for any Macintosh Internet server.
DoorStop is available in two editions:
- DoorStop Personal Edition is specifically designed for end-user
machines, especially those on intranets or full-time connections
such as cable modems and ADSL. Personal Edition has also been
designed to protect Mac OS 9's new Internet features, with unparalleled
ease of use. It also runs back to Mac OS 8.1.
- DoorStop Server Edition has been specifically designed for servers,
such as AppleShare IP, ShareWay IP Pro, and WebSTAR.
This User's Guide provides details of the Personal Edition of
DoorStop. A separate User's Guide is available for the Server
Edition.
